Meet Jono, resident Strength & Conditioning Coach here with RSX as we claw our way back through the history books to find out how he went from skinny soccer player to 6 day a week squat-a-holic, how he put 20kg of bodyweight directly on his backside, as well his favourite breakfast treat you probably didn’t know about.
Growing up as a skinny soccer player from Tuggeranong, Jono made himself quite popular at Calwell High, not only for his sporting prowess and devotion to his friendship circle, but also for his striking popularity with the ladies.
Having played top tier soccer for many years, he learned a lot about injury management and prevention, and he turned his own injuries into opportunities to learn and now applies these methods to assist others.
An early riser, you’ll usually find him in the wee hours of the morning underneath a barbell, in the evenings you’re more likely to find him rolling around on the mats at Jiu Jitsu.
We’re privileged to have someone of Jono’s nature and stature in the gym and we appreciate his ever-expanding repertoire of quirks – keep them coming!
