Our Programs

Youth Learn-to-row
The Youth Learn-to-row course is an introductory course that allows school-aged children try the sport of rowing. No previous experience is required and children must be over 12 years of age. The program runs typically runs for 10 sessions, beginning with familiarising people with the equipment and basic framework and ending with them having a confident understanding of the sport.

Youth Development
The Youth Development program runs two afternoon sessions per week and caters for a range of experience levels. The program provides a great technical base for learn-to-row athletes looking to continue their rowing journey. It is also the perfect option for those balancing other sporting commitments and looking to keep up their skill levels.

Youth Squad
The Youth Squad program runs four times per week for rowers looking to challenge their fitness. The group trains concurrently to the Youth Development program but extends the training with two extra sessions to consolidate technical proficiency and grow overall endurance.

Youth Winter Elite
The Youth Winter Elite program is a selective program that runs two mornings per week for experienced rowers. The program has a more advanced technical expectation and trains at a high performance level. Red Shed also provides other land training activities so that you can achieve your goals for the racing season.
