Joining a Red Shed program provides tailored sessions from Learn to Row to experienced oarspersons, for both recreational and competitive participants. Programs vary in duration and number of sessions per week according to each stage of rowing – Learn to Row – Continue to Row and High Performance.

To compete in local and national regattas you need to be a member of BMRC (or another Club). The Red Shed provides development programs to support your rowing goals be they recreational, competitive or community based.

There are many other types of programs like social rows, corporate and tourism rowing, but check out the programs page for more.

All programs are structure differently with a range of offerings, hence are varied in price.

For more pricing information, please visit the relevant program booking page.

8 CAN PROGRAMS BE REFUNDED?

We understand unfortunate situations may arise causing a participant to withdraw from a program. The term and conditions (T&C’s) available on our website (in the footer), outline the exact policies and procedures around cancellation and refunds for all services available at Red Shed.

Rowing, gym, wellness and community events all have their own cancellation periods and refund policies, so be sure to read the T&C’s.

9 HOW DO I REGISTER MYSELF OR ANOTHER PERSON FOR A PROGRAM?

To join any Red Shed program, head to the programs page via the main menu and click on either rowing, gym or lifestyle to access specific programs and classes. At the bottom of each page there is a book now button which will take you to our booking portal – Hello Club – where you can book into the event or class! We are always looking to bring our community more exciting opportunities, so you may see a ‘coming soon’ button instead – be sure to keep an eye out on our socials or newsletter to be the first to know when the program bookings open up!

If it is your first time registering with Red Shed on Hello Club, you will be required to set up an account – for parents or guardians booking in their child/ren, you must add their details under your household branch during the registration process (additional children can be added later under account details).

10 I'M NOT A ROWER, CAN I STILL JOIN RED SHED?

Yes!

Red Shed caters to all that are looking to improve their overall wellness, be it through rowing, gym workouts, wellness services or community events.

If you have no experience in rowing, fear not! We have learn to row programs all year-round which act as the perfect stepping stone into the world of rowing. And if rowing isn’t a part of your life (just yet) then there are loads of other fun and healthy offerings at Red Shed – check out our programs page and keep up to date with upcoming community events on our homepage, Newsletter or Socials.

11 WHAT ARE SOME OF THE OTHER BENEFITS OF THE RED SHED PROGRAMS?

The key mission of the Red Shed is “Rowing for All” and whist it supports and helps BMRC grow, it is the delivery of programs and events to a wide range of people that until now have had limited or no access to rowing that helps achieve this mission. The Red Shed program costs are tailored to the groups and we hope represent value for money. Any surplus funds go back into the Red Shed and can offer financial support and scholarship programs. As a non-profit you can be sure that your participation in Red Shed programs is a good investment in your health and wellbeing as well as the community.

Though we welcome all rowers to join Red Shed programs no matter what club you are from, we encourage those seeking to join a racing club to connect with Black Mountain Rowing Club (BMRC) who are nestled in at the heart of the Red Shed. At BMRC, you can compete and race while still being a member of Red Shed – similarly, for those at other racing clubs.
