Support Red Shed

Red Shed is a not-for-profit built to make rowing, movement and wellbeing possible for everyone. It exists thanks to private donations, and every contribution keeps it open to all: the water, the shed and everything in between. We keep the doors open through program fees, Easy Oar Cafe, Telopea Room functions and the generosity of donors.

Your donation is fully tax deductible

Donations to Red Shed are made through the Australian Sports Foundation and are fully tax deductible.

Become a Friend of Red Shed

Red Shed exists so rowing, movement and wellbeing belong to everyone in Canberra, not just the people who already know how. Friends of Red Shed are the people who make that possible.

$300 a year. You get the polo, and unlimited Red Shed Resets.

  • The Friends of Red Shed polo, printed by a Canberra supplier and collected from us here. Men’s S to 5XL and women’s 6 to 24, and we keep try-on samples at Red Shed if you want to check the fit first.
  • Unlimited Red Shed Resets for the year. Mondays from 5:30pm in the Telopea Room, a rotating mix of yoga, Pilates, meditation, breathwork, mindfulness and stretching. Casual entry is $25, so twelve visits and your year has paid for itself.

Being a Friend renews each year unless you cancel. You can cancel any time before your renewal date, and we don’t refund the year you’re in.

Friends of Red Shed is a membership rather than a gift, so it isn’t tax deductible. If you’d like to make a deductible donation as well, you can do that through the Australian Sports Foundation above.

Registrations open shortly. Leave your details and we’ll email you the moment you can sign up.

With thanks

Red Shed has been built and kept open by a generous community. We gratefully acknowledge our founding donors John and Jeanette Gasson, the many local Canberra companies who helped bring the build to life through generous pricing and in-kind support.

We take the trust behind every donation seriously. Red Shed’s financial statements are publicly available, so our community can see exactly how funds are put to work. For a copy, email info@redshed.org.au.

Let’s row as one, and together see more oars in hands.
