Lachie Millar

Lachie joined the Red Shed team in the full-time position of Lead Coach and Coordinator in June 2024 before being promoted to Head of Rowing in May 2025.

Lachie came to Red Shed having spent the last decade working in US college recruitment, assisting Australian student-athletes across many sports – including rowing – to get recruited on athletic scholarship to top US universities.

Lachie has extensive experience as a rowing coach, spanning school, club and performance pathway roles in Victoria, but was attracted to Red Shed mission to make rowing more accessible and delivering fun and rewarding rowing programs to all.
