Youth Elite is high-performance training for invited athletes. Expect expert coaching, structured training and a driven squad environment alongside rowers chasing the same thing.
Two seasons a year
Whilst Elite still follows school terms, our general intakes run in two seasons a year: Summer Elite and Winter Elite.
Athletes are selected for one season at a time, and each season is built around the racing calendar it leads into.
How to be considered
Places are limited and offered by invitation, usually after a testing day or on a coach’s recommendation. Register your interest and our coaches will be in touch when the next season is being selected.

The Red Shed Scholarship
Red Shed offers scholarships to selected young rowers in the pathway, funded by donations to Red Shed. There are several levels of scholarship, covering some or all of a rower’s program costs, and each comes with a commitment to give some time back to the Red Shed community. That also gives scholarship holders coaching experience and hours towards a boat licence.
Scholarships are not an open application. Recipients are selected through the youth pathway.
The scholarship runs on donations. We are always open to a conversation with anyone who wants to help it grow.
